I started experimenting with instant Polaroid photos back in 1976. For example, I dissolved the emulsion in warm water, maltreated or painted over the surface of pictures. I was able to exhibit the results for the first time in 1977 at the annual "Zürcher Künstler in den Züspahallen" exhibition.

Today, I have started experimenting once again, not least because a successor to the SX-70 film is being produced. Whenever I have the time, I enlarge the instant photos from my collection.
In reportage photography, the area of work I specialize in today, manipulating images is taboo. All the more reason why I enjoy finding out what is possible or impossible in a field that offers greater creative scope.
